Can I use CSS and JavaScript?

Yes! You can include CSS and JavaScript directly in your HTML file using <style> and <script> tags, or link to external resources using CDN URLs. Your code runs in an isolated iframe for security, so it won't interfere with the htmlpub interface.

What happens to my pages if I cancel my subscription?

If you cancel your paid subscription, your account reverts to the free plan. You'll keep up to 5 pages, but free plan pages expire after 7 days. Any pages beyond the free plan limit will no longer be accessible until you resubscribe.

Can I edit a page after publishing?

Currently, published pages cannot be edited. If you need to make changes, you can delete the existing page and upload a new version. We recommend testing your HTML locally before publishing to ensure it looks exactly how you want.

How do I delete a page?

To delete a page, go to your Dashboard, find the page you want to remove, and click the delete button (trash icon) in the actions menu. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone, so make sure you have a backup if needed.

How long do free pages last?

Pages created on the free plan expire after 7 days from the creation date. Paid plans (Starter and Pro) include pages that stay live for as long as you're subscribed, with no expiration date.

What's the difference between plans?

The Free plan includes 5 pages with 50 MB storage, but pages expire after 7 days. Starter ($10/month) gives you 50 pages, 500 MB storage, and 1 custom domain. Pro ($29/month) includes 100 pages, 5 GB storage, 5 custom domains, and analytics. Business ($49/month) includes 250 pages, 10 GB storage, 15 custom domains, and 6-month analytics retention. Paid plan pages stay live for as long as you're subscribed.

Is my HTML code secure?

We take security seriously. Uploaded HTML is served in an isolated context, separate from the htmlpub dashboard, so scripts in user pages cannot access your account data or cookies. We apply Content Security Policy headers to user-served pages, scan uploaded content for common abuse patterns (phishing, malware indicators), and provide tools to report abusive content. HTML is served as-is without sanitization, so you have full creative control over your pages.

Can I use custom domains?

Yes! You can point your own domain to any published page. Go to your Dashboard, navigate to the Domains section, add your domain, and configure a CNAME record pointing to htmlpub.com. Once DNS propagates and verification succeeds, your page will be served on your custom domain with HTTPS.

What are the file size limits?

The maximum file size for HTML uploads is 10MB. This should be more than enough for most HTML pages. If you have large media files, we recommend hosting images and videos on external CDN services and linking to them in your HTML.

How do I share my published page?

Once your HTML is uploaded, you'll receive a shareable URL (e.g., htmlpub.com/p/your-slug). You can copy this link and share it anywhere - social media, email, messaging apps, etc. Your page is publicly accessible to anyone with the link.

Can I see analytics for my pages?

Yes! Your Dashboard shows basic page view counts for each published page. For more detailed analytics like visitor behavior and demographics, you can embed third-party analytics scripts (like Google Analytics or Plausible) directly in your HTML code.

What are AI credits?

AI credits power the AI page builder. Each AI interaction (creating a page, editing content, cloning a site) uses credits based on complexity — typically 20-40 credits per message. Free accounts start with 5,000 credits and receive 1,000 per week (up to a 5,000 cap). Starter plans get 20,000 credits/month and Pro plans get 60,000 credits/month. You can also buy credit top-ups that never expire.

What can I do with the AI editor?

The AI editor lets you create, edit, and clone web pages using natural language. You can describe a page from scratch ('make me a portfolio site with a dark theme'), edit existing pages ('change the header color to blue and add a contact form'), or clone any public website as a starting point. The AI handles all the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for you.

What happens when I run out of AI credits?

When you run out of credits, you won't be able to use the AI editor until you get more. Free plan users receive 1,000 credits per week automatically (up to a 5,000 balance cap). Paid plan users receive their full monthly allocation at the start of each billing cycle. You can also purchase credit top-ups at any time — they never expire and work with any plan, starting at just $2.50 for 2,000 credits.
